Who owns Splendid Magazine

Splendid Magazine is owned and published by Splendid Media Pty Ltd, an independent Australian publishing company. The company is privately held by founder April Windsor. Splendid has no parent company, no external shareholders, and no corporate affiliations that influence editorial decisions.

How Splendid is funded

Splendid Magazine is funded through a combination of:

• Print magazine sales — biannual print editions sold directly and through select retailers
• Digital subscriptions — reader subscriptions to the digital edition and newsletter
• Affiliate partnerships — small commissions earned when readers book hotels or purchase products via outbound links on our site
• Sponsored content and partnerships — clearly labelled commercial collaborations that are editorially separate from independent coverage
• Bespoke concierge service — our paid travel-planning service for readers

Separation of editorial and commercial

Splendid maintains a strict wall between editorial and commercial activity. Sponsored content is clearly labelled and never presented as independent coverage. Our editorial team makes independent decisions about what to cover — advertisers, sponsors and affiliate partners have no influence over editorial content.

Grants and philanthropic funding

Splendid Magazine currently receives no grants, philanthropic funding, or government subsidy. Should this change, it will be disclosed here.
