Editor-in-Chief

April Windsor founded Splendid Magazine in 2023. Her editorial focus is the architecture, light and quiet rituals of a place: the small details that make a hotel worth crossing the world for. She writes from a base between Bali, Europe and Australia, and reviews every hotel in person before publication.

Editorial Team

Splendid is an independent publication. Editorial direction is set by the in-house team at Splendid Media, working from studios in Bali and Australia. Every hotel review, destination guide and feature is based on first-hand reporting and original photography by the Splendid team.

Photography

All imagery on Splendid Magazine is captured on location by the Splendid photography team unless individually credited. Photography is shot primarily on the Leica M Series and the Apple iPhone 17 Pro, depending on assignment. Image rights remain with Splendid Media Pty Ltd.

Publication Schedule

Splendid Magazine publishes biannually in print and weekly online. Each print issue is a collectible journey through the world's most design-forward hotels and hidden destinations. Online coverage spans curated travel guides, hotel reviews, design features and style edits.

Editorial Coverage

Since launch in 2023, Splendid has covered properties and destinations across Italy, Bali, Japan, France, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, Malaysia, Morocco, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Serbia and Australia. New destinations are added each season.

Splendid Magazine is published by Splendid Media Pty Ltd, an independent Australian publishing company. Splendid Media produces print editions, digital subscriptions, editorial photography, and collaborates with hospitality and lifestyle brands across the Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Middle East.

Contributing Writers & Photographers
