Corrections Policy
Last updated: April 2026
Our commitment to accuracy
Splendid Magazine is committed to accuracy in every article we publish. When we learn that a piece of published content contains a factual error, we correct it promptly and transparently.
How to request a correction
If you believe an article contains a factual error, please email hello@worldofsplendid.com with the article title and URL, the specific passage in question, and the corrected information (with a source where possible). We respond to correction requests within five working days.
How corrections are handled
Where we determine that a correction is warranted, we will:
- Update the article with the correct information
- Add a visible correction note at the top or bottom of the article, explaining what was changed and when
- Update the "Last modified" timestamp on the article
Minor updates versus corrections
Routine editorial updates — such as changes in a hotel's opening hours, restaurant menus, or prices — are updated silently where they do not affect the article's substance. Substantive factual corrections are always flagged visibly.
Retractions
In rare cases where an article contains fundamental inaccuracies or was published in error, we may retract it. Retracted articles display a clear retraction notice explaining why the piece was withdrawn. The original URL is preserved so that readers arriving from search engines or external links can see the retraction.
Reader complaints
If you are dissatisfied with how we have handled a correction request, please write to hello@worldofsplendid.com marking your message "editorial complaint". We aim to resolve complaints within fourteen days.
