Splendid Magazine · Masthead
Founder & Editor-in-Chief
April founded Splendid Magazine in 2023, from a base that moves between Bali, Europe and Australia, with a quiet thesis: that the world's most extraordinary places deserve writing as considered as the architecture, the light, and the long lunches that define them. What began as a single voice has become a biannual print publication, a weekly online edition, and a slowly built archive of the hotels, designers and quiet rituals that make travel worth the journey.
We travel not to escape life, but to ensure life doesn't escape us.
— April Windsor
Fashion threads quietly through Splendid's pages. April approaches style the way she approaches hotels: as a question of atmosphere, proportion and quiet conviction. From a silk peplum in Singapore to a linen suit on the Amalfi Coast, the wardrobe in Splendid is chosen the way the magazine itself is — for heritage, for craft, and for a particular point of view.
Splendid is independently owned and funded. Every hotel reviewed has been visited in person, and every recommendation earned, never paid for. Sponsored content is clearly labelled and never presented as independent editorial.
